PixelPainters is a done-for-you design team for churches and ministries, founded by Josh Starr in 2018. Churches pay one flat monthly price and send unlimited design requests (sermon series graphics, worship slides, social posts, event promotion, print, signage, apparel, logos and branding) through a project app at app.pixelpainters.co. Christian designers with church staff experience do the work, with unlimited revisions.

It is a human design service, not a template library or an AI generator. For a self-serve tool, churches can use template libraries or AI tools instead; the honest tradeoffs are covered in the comparison pages below.

Q: Who do you serve?
A: We exclusively work with churches, ministries, and parachurch organizations. We aren't trying to be all things to all people. We've chosen to focus on the mission and purpose of the local church.

Q: Do you create logos?
A: We can create a ministry logo and branding package for you! Brand projects take significant design hours, so they're the best fit for churches planning to partner with us for several months (that's honestly when we break even on the work). There's no contract required. We've created brands for churches large and small, and would love to serve you!

Q: Can I sign up for a single month only?
A: Yes. All plans are month-to-month with no contracts, and you can cancel anytime. That said, we're built for ongoing partnership: churches get the most out of us after a few months of weekly requests, and most of our churches stay for years.

Q: Is it really a 14-day refund guarantee?
A: Yes! If you're not happy for any reason in the first two weeks, we'll give you back 100% with no questions.

Q: What types of projects can you design?
A: We can handle virtually any design need for your church, including sermon series graphics, worship slides, event graphics, social media posts, flyers, business cards, outdoor signage, apparel, merchandise, year-end reports, logos, bumper videos, websites, and more.

Q: How many projects can you do?
A: As many as you send us. Just remember we're real people doing great work, so we ask for mutual respect.

Q: What type of projects DON'T you do?
A: We do not do voice overs, perform talking-head video, or film actual footage for your videos. We focus on graphic design, bumper video creation (using your footage or stock video), and the other services outlined in our plans.

Q: Do you create bumper videos?
A: Yes! Sermon bumper videos are included in Unlimited Graphics PRO, built from your footage or stock video. Most churches request one or two per series, and you're not capped. For heavier video needs, our Motion Graphics & Video Editing plan covers unlimited custom video under 30 minutes.

Q: What is a bumper video?
A: A bumper video is generally 45 seconds or less and is used as a prelude to a sermon or as an announcement for a special event.

Q: What's included in a bumper video?
A: We will utilize either your footage or stock video, add music, and add visual effects to bring across your message.

Q: What is NOT included in a bumper video?
A: We do not do voice overs, perform talking-head video, or film the actual footage for your video.

Q: How do I submit a bumper request?
A: When requesting sermon bumpers, provide context or themes of the sermon series for more aligned content creation. Pro Tip: The bumper video should complement the sermon series artwork and feel like an extension of the series theme.

Q: What if I need both graphics and a bumper for the same project?
A: We have a two-step process: Step 1: We complete all graphics for the project. Step 2: Once the graphics are approved, you submit a new request for your bumper and include the original project number.

Q: Can you work with our current designer?
A: Absolutely. We often work alongside a staff member or volunteer, either supplementing their work or taking projects fully off their plate.

Q: How fast do you all work?
A: We work Mon-Fri, 8-4pm EST. Usually we can complete one design/revision cycle per business day (sometimes more).

Q: How fast can you get started?
A: After you sign up and complete the client questionnaire, we normally start the day after that.

Q: How do I get onboarded?
A: Complete the initial questionnaire at /start-here and upload your church's logo and branding guide documents. Then sign into our app at app.pixelpainters.co using your provided username and password. Familiarize yourself with the dashboard where you can manage projects, view invoices, and access a catalog of services.

Q: How do I submit a design request?
A: Use the project submission form in our app to clearly define your project requirements. Specify the type of request, content details, desired file sizes, target audience, and any inspirational material. If you have specific deadlines, add the initial draft deadline to your submission.

Q: How do I communicate with your team?
A: Use the comment section in the project dashboard to discuss project details or provide feedback. We are always available during business hours (Mon-Fri, 8am-4pm EST). You may hear from us outside of business hours as well, but we're committed to making sure your voice is heard.

Q: How should I give feedback on designs?
A: After receiving your designs, provide specific feedback to help us better understand your needs and refine the designs. Take advantage of unlimited revisions by being as detailed as possible.
